Founded in 2012 under the Comme des Garçons umbrella, NOIR KEI NINOMIYA is an exercise in black taken to its most sculptural extreme. Working almost entirely without traditional stitching, Kei Ninomiya assembles each garment from interlocking parts, hand-tied flowers, chainmail and macramé, building voluminous, architectural silhouettes that feel closer to wearable art than ready-to-wear.
