The Vision Behind Off-White
Off-White was founded in Milan in 2013 by Virgil Abloh, the American designer whose creative reach spanned fashion, music and architecture. Building on his earlier PYREX VISION project, Abloh established Off-White as the meeting point between streetwear and the runway, naming it for the grey area between black and white. In 2018 he became artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear, cementing his place as one of the most influential voices in modern luxury before his passing in 2021.
