Established in Tokyo in 2012 by Masayuki Ino alongside pattern maker Takashi Murakami, Doublet emerged from the city's restless creative undercurrent. Ino, who honed his craft designing shoes and accessories at MIHARAYASUHIRO, built the label on a philosophy he sums up in three words: humour, strangeness and comfort. In 2018 he became the first Japanese designer to win the LVMH Prize, cementing Doublet's place among the most original voices in contemporary fashion.
