The House of LOEWE: Spanish Leather Heritage Since 1846
Founded in Madrid in 1846, LOEWE is one of the world's oldest luxury fashion houses, built on a collective of artisans devoted to leather and an obsessive focus on craft. In 1872, German leather craftsman Enrique Loewe Roessberg joined the workshop, uniting his technical precision with the inimitable skill of Spanish artisans. The house went on to dress royalty and high society, receiving the title of Supplier to the Royal Court from King Alfonso XIII in 1905, and that artisanal leatherwork remains the soul of the women's collection today.

From 2013, creative director Jonathan Anderson redefined the house, balancing its historic Spanish legacy with a modern, art-driven sensibility before his departure in 2025.
