The Marni Story
Marni was founded in Milan in 1994 by Consuelo Castiglioni, who built the house around a love of print, colour and craft that ran against the minimalism of the era. Her instinct for offbeat combinations, retro florals and hand-finished detail gave Marni a following among women who dress for themselves. Since 2016, creative director Francesco Risso has carried that experimental spirit forward, keeping the label's artisanal, artful character intact.
