Founded in Tokyo in 2012 by Masayuki Ino alongside pattern maker Takashi Murakami, Doublet has built its reputation on a playful, deeply considered approach to menswear. Ino, who trained at Tokyo Mode Academy and previously led shoes and accessories design at MIHARAYASUHIRO, channels a designer's eye for craft into clothes that never take themselves too seriously. In 2018 the label beat more than 1,300 applicants to win the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, cementing its place among the most exciting names in contemporary fashion.
