The Story Behind AMBUSH
AMBUSH was founded in Tokyo by Yoon Ahn and her husband Verbal, beginning in 2008 as an experimental jewellery line before its formal launch as a joint label in 2012. Rooted in the city's distinctive blend of pop art, music and street culture, the brand turned bold, sculptural jewellery into a fashion statement. Its iconic POW! ring and pendant became an early signature, catching the attention of artists such as Kanye West and setting the tone for a label defined by graphic confidence and Tokyo edge.
From Jewellery to High-Fashion Streetwear
What began as couture jewellery has grown into a full unisex wardrobe. By the mid-2010s, AMBUSH had expanded into ready-to-wear, translating its experimental, pop-inspired aesthetic into clothing, outerwear and accessories.
