We Make Noise Not Clothes

Takahashi founded UNDERCOVER out of Ura-Harajuku with a background in punk, and the label has kept that literacy ever since. Collections are built around ideas rather than trends, working through collage, reconstruction and controlled chaos. A jacket might be cut from two garments, a knit might carry a reference you only catch on the second wear, and none of it is accidental.

Tailoring, Graphics and Outerwear

The tailoring is where the subversion is most precise, with clean construction interrupted by a deliberate fault line. Graphic pieces run the other way, using layered print and collage on jersey and knitwear. Outerwear carries the most work, and it is usually the piece people buy first.
