Founded in 1994 in Milan by Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni began as an experiment in colour, print and proportion that quickly set it apart from its more minimalist Italian peers. Castiglioni built the house around three enduring signatures: graphic, hand-drawn prints, unconventional cuts and an inventive approach to texture and material. Since 2016, creative director Francesco Risso has carried that spirit forward, preserving the label's bohemian intellect while pushing its silhouettes in bolder, more sculptural directions.
